Mini Bio: I started swimming when I was eight and continued on through high school, college, and now masters swimming.  I grew up biking with my family and decided to try out running as a new way to stay in shape after college. Last year I decided to try something new:  triathlon.  My first "real" race was the Steelhead half-Ironman last August.  I had done sprint distance races before with the staff of the school district I teach in, but none that were sanctioned events.  I enjoyed training and pushing myself and hope to complete the Hawaii Ironman sometime in the next few years.

Mini Bio:
I have always been involved with sports--gymnastics, tennis, basketball, track, rowing--but it was not until after I graduated college that I took up distance running.  I studied A LOT in college and when I graduated I had too much time on my hands. I grew up watching my dad run marathons and saw him qualify for Boston, so I thought I would try the marathon. Now it's something my dad and I share.  We train and race together. To date I have run 7 marathons including two Bostons and one half Ironman.
